Rules & Terms

• Films must be produced, directed, edited or written by a womxn. Films by mxn are accepted but they must be about womxn's social, economical, geographical, political or health issues.

• LEFUFF reserves the right to determine whether a film qualifies for this exception. 

• All non-English language films must have English subtitles or dubbed in English. First and second time directors encouraged.

• Productions must be independently produced, with the maker retaining complete editorial control and copyright.

• Productions must have been completed after January 1, 2022, and must not have been publicly screened in Los Angeles. Selected works can be screened from Quicktime file.

• Submission of an entry indicates acceptance of all regulations, guarantee that a screening copy in the format specified will be made available for the dates of the event, and authorization to publicly exhibit the work at Femtasia Fest formally Les Femmes Underground International Film Festival 2022 and onwards.

• If screening copy is to be provided by a distributor or agent then entry must be submitted by that distributor/agent, along with any criteria or conditions.

• The party responsible for sending film materials bears the cost of transporting selected films for competition programs. The festival does not incurs the cost of the films return.
